The Scion tC
The Scion tC is a sport compact car developed and introduced by Toyota in 2004 as a concept car under its recently introduced Scion name brand. The Scion tC was designed to appeal to the new younger generation of automotive tuners and compete directly with Honda Civic. The Scion tC has become a favorite in the compact import tuning scene and has a huge following of aftermarket parts and companies. There is huge potential for this can and sales have have proven this. The Scion tC car is considered a budget sports coupe with a lightweight, efficient design. The Scion tC has become a favorite of tuners and simply adding a turbo kit to the car will drastically improve performance. The name tC does not fit in with its stablemates the xA and xB because the name xC has already been taken by Volvo for its XC70 and XC90 models. According to Scion, tC stands for "Touring Coupe." tC means: Touring Coupe Engine Code: 2AZ-FE Chassis Codes: ANT10

Scion tC Release Series
Scion launched the Release Series (RS) line of cars as a limited edition line that comes pre-packaged with special features and options. The RS cars feature special individually numbered badging (inside the vehicle), exclusive accessories, special colors, and other limited edition options. Limited edition cars from a marketing standpoint were used to create a buzz for the brand name, with their exterior colors tending to be loud and bright hues (i.e. orange, yellow, red, blue, green) to attract attention. Because of the growing popularity of the Scion product line and the scarce production runs (most dealers only get a handful of each RS model), these limited edition vehicles quickly sell out.
