[edit] Used vs New
The first decision you have to make before going further is to decide if you will be purchasing a new Scion or a used one. Driving a new Scion off the Toyota lot can be a great experience and nothing beats that new car feel and smell. On the other hand you can save a few thousand dollars by grabbing a used car with low mileage. Right now you can easily find Scions selling in the $10-13k range.
Another thing to note when making this decision is the model you may want. Some of the models are discontinued and some of the limited edition Release Series models may be very hard to pick up new and you will have no other choice than to buy a used car at that point.
